Banks Graduate Dinghy Covers

Graduate dinghy: Banks Sails

Flat top covers

Easy to fit and can be used with the mast up or down. The main halyard attachment webbing ring helps the cover to shed water.

Over boom covers

For the ultimate in weather proofing, the over boom style ensures that water will not collect in the cover and allows air to circulate.

Trailing covers

Trailing covers are top covers without openings for masts and shrouds. They reduce drag considerably when towing.

Under covers

Undercovers protect the hull of the boat from knocks and scratches, particularly when trailing. Our undercovers are handmade from quality nylon.

Graduate Data Sheet

The Graduate is a 12.5-foot sailing dinghy. Rules for the class allow for customization of the boat with rigs of various sophistication.

The class holds an open series of races each year and a 3-day National Championship. 2018 Nationals will be held at Notts County Sailing Club from 26 -28 May.
Current National Champions are John Clementson and Elliot Marks of Chipstead Sailing Club

In March 2018 the Graduate won best boat in show at the RYA Dinghy Show.

The Graduate is a fast but reasonably priced boat. Brand new FRP boats can be ordered from Boatyard at Beer or wooden ones from Tim Harper. Second hand boats can be obtained for several hundred pounds and when coupled with new sails can be competitive with newer boats.
